When God Gives You A Word
When Moses encountered God in the burning bush, he was instructed to go and tell Pharaoh to let His people go. Moses, on the other hand, was like, “um but God you know I’m nobody, how can I do this, and how will the people even listen or trust that you sent me?” And God was like; I got you!
I’ve felt like Moses on many occasions! Where I was instructed to do or say something, but I was like, eh should I even or can I also. The discomfort has been real! Especially around uncovering the not so beautiful parts of my marriage.
More recently, I’ve been hesitating with instructions that were given out of fear on how it would be received. So right before my July fast, God used a friend I haven’t spoken to in years to encourage and remind me of God's word over my life. Similarly, in Exodus 3:12, God, Himself, gave Moses an assurance and promise as it connected to the instructions he was given.
What has God told you to do that you are uncomfortable about? What assignment is still waiting because you don’t see yourself as God sees you? What destiny is at a standstill because you are afraid those you’ve been sent to speak to, work with, won’t be receptive?
My prayer for you today is that you trust He who has called you is faithful and will bring it to a pass!
