Can Anything “Good” Come out of Nazareth?

I’ve been beating myself up emotionally about a decision I made, and as a result of this decision, I struggled with believing anything good could come out. Periodically, the weight of the decision leaves me feeling defeated and beating myself up about it.

Yet as I prayed tonight before bed, the Holy Spirit reminded me of John 1:47, where Nathanael questioned Philip after being told, the one the prophets and Moses had written about was found. His name, Jesus, the son of Joseph from Nazareth. In hearing the city from which Philip claimed the Messiah came from, Nathanael, almost in disgust, asked, “can anything good’ come out of Nazareth?” To which Philip told him to come and see.

Something good did come out of a place that no valued because of its size and location. It wasn’t a place that anyone expected to produce anything of worth. No one would have thought the Promised One, The Messiah, would come from a place like Nazareth, but yet He did.

Something good can come out of you, your situation, life, children, marriage, career path! You are valuable, an answered prayer, destined to birth greatness.Your current season is not indicative of what God has said about you!

Tonight I pray you hold onto this verse with dear life when you feel like giving up!
